# DOCUMENT 07: Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ('AUP') sets out the standards of conduct expected of all users of the Yugality platform. Violation of this AUP may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.
2. Absolutely Prohibited Conduct
The following uses are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account termination and potential legal action:
- Fabricating Non-Existent Legal Authorities: Using Yugality to generate fake case citations, fabricated statutes, non-existent tribunal orders, or fictitious legal precedents, and presenting such outputs as genuine in any legal proceeding, client communication, or published work.
- Court Fraud and Judicial Deception: Using AI outputs to create false evidence, fraudulent affidavits, forged judgments, or any document intended to deceive a court, tribunal, arbitral panel, or regulatory authority.
- Unauthorised Practice of Law: Using the platform to provide legal services to third parties without holding a valid advocate's licence under the Advocates Act, 1961.
- Criminal Facilitation: Using the platform to draft documents facilitating money laundering, fraud, corruption, tax evasion, or any other criminal offence under Indian law.
- Client Data Misappropriation: Uploading a client's confidential documents without their knowledge or consent, in breach of attorney-client privilege.
- Hate Speech and Discriminatory Content: Generating content that is defamatory, hateful, or discriminatory on grounds of religion, caste, gender, or any other protected characteristic.
3. Additionally Prohibited Conduct
- Attempting to extract, reverse-engineer, or replicate Yugality's proprietary AI models or algorithms.
- Using automated tools, scrapers, or bots to access the platform in a manner that degrades service for other users.
- Sharing account credentials with persons not authorised under the subscription.
- Submitting prompts specifically designed to make the AI produce outputs that circumvent safety or quality controls.
- Using the platform for competitive intelligence against Yugality by systematically copying features or outputs.
4. Enforcement
Yugality reserves the right to investigate suspected violations of this AUP. Upon confirming a violation, Yugality may: (a) issue a written warning; (b) suspend account access; (c) permanently terminate the account without refund; (d) report the conduct to relevant authorities including Bar Councils, law enforcement, or regulators; or (e) initiate civil or criminal legal proceedings.

To report suspected misuse of the Yugality platform, contact support@yugality.com with the subject line 'AUP Violation Report'. Reports are treated confidentially.
